What is the Cyber Journey Podcast?

The Cyber Journey Podcast is a short, pre-recorded video conversation where we talk about your path into cybersecurity — your education, early experiences, wins, and lessons learned. It’s focused on real people and real stories, not sales pitches.

Are these conversations live?

No. Unlike my live Cyber Talks sessions, Cyber Journey Podcast episodes are not live. They are pre-recorded and then published on LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, X, and other Bare Metal Cyber channels.

Who can apply to be a guest?

Anyone with a cyber story is welcome: students, recent graduates, early-career professionals, veterans, career changers, educators, and experienced practitioners. You do not need a specific title or years of experience to participate.

How long does the conversation last?

We aim for twenty to thirty minutes of recorded conversation. Plan for about thirty to forty minutes on your calendar to allow for a brief warm-up and wrap-up.

What will we talk about?

We focus on your journey: how you discovered cybersecurity, what you studied, certifications or training that helped, early jobs or internships, challenges you faced, and any advice you’d share with others following a similar path.

Do I need to prepare anything?

No heavy prep is required. It helps to think about a few key moments in your journey and any tips you want to share, but the conversation is relaxed, guided, and not a formal presentation.

Where will my episode be shared?

Your Cyber Journey Podcast episode will be shared on LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, X, and other Bare Metal Cyber channels, with a permanent home on YouTube so you can link to it in your profiles and portfolios.

Will I see the questions in advance?

Yes. You’ll receive a short overview of the types of questions I typically ask. The goal is to help you feel comfortable and prepared, not to surprise you.

What happens after I submit the form?

After you complete the form below, I’ll review your information, and you’ll receive a response with a Calendly link so you can choose a recording time that works best for you. That message will also include the meeting details and a brief prep note so you know what to expect.
