How Bare Metal Cyber handles information submitted through the website and the regional choices available for analytics.
Website analytics and regional consent
Bare Metal Cyber uses Google Analytics 4 on the production website to understand aggregate traffic, navigation, site search, and interactions with books, podcasts, Academy lessons, Defense Map pages, and guided playbooks. The production measurement ID is G-Q31WQQN7D5.
For visitors resolved to the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the Google tag is blocked until the visitor selects Allow analytics. Visitors in other resolved regions do not receive a first-visit popup; analytics loads automatically unless it has been disabled for that browser. When country-level region detection is unavailable, analytics remains off and no global popup is shown.
Country-level routing is performed on the Bare Metal Cyber server using Hostinger GeoIP or a trusted content-delivery-network country header. The regional endpoint returns only the consent state needed by the page—restricted, ordinary, unknown, or disabled—and does not expose the visitor’s IP address to page scripts or use a third-party IP-geolocation service.
The Privacy & analytics control in the footer can be used to allow or disable analytics for the current browser. The choice is stored in local storage. Disabling analytics updates the consent state, prevents additional Bare Metal Cyber analytics events, and removes Google Analytics cookies that can be deleted by the site.
Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, Google signals, and advertising-personalization signals are disabled by the site configuration. Bare Metal Cyber does not send contact-form text, names, email addresses, protected transcript content, or other intentionally submitted personal information to Google Analytics.
Book recommendation events record referral intent, such as which book link was selected and the type of page that produced the recommendation. They do not establish that a purchase occurred and do not include Amazon order information.
Search terms are sent only after local screening. Terms that resemble email addresses, URLs, or long account-like numbers are not sent. Analytics reporting remains subject to Google’s own privacy and data-processing terms.
Contact information
Information submitted through the contact form is used to respond to the request. Do not submit passwords, API keys, financial information, protected health information, controlled information, or other sensitive data.
Newsletter subscriptions
Newsletter signup, email delivery, billing, and account management may be handled by an external publication provider. That provider’s privacy terms apply to information processed through its service.
External and sponsored links
Bare Metal Cyber links to podcast platforms, social networks, booksellers, authoritative sources, and other external services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Some book links are sponsored or affiliate links and may support Bare Metal Cyber without changing the visitor’s price.
